Administration and Services

The Center for Cooperative Resolution, also known as the Office of the Ombudsman, is a neutral, independent resource that provides confidential and informal assistance to the NIH community in addressing lab and work-related issues.

The Executive Secretariat (ES), located within the Immediate Office of the Director, supports the Â鶹´«Ã½ Director's and Principal Deputy Director's responsiveness, decision-making, meeting participation, and official records.

The NIH Ethics Office assists NIH staff to meet the requirements of the statutes and regulations governing behavior of employees of the Federal Government.

The Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) is the principal NIH Office responsible for NIH IT strategy, policy, and oversight to supporr Â鶹´«Ã½'s mission as the Nation's steward of medical and behavioral research.Ìý

The Executive Office provides executive leadership and strategic direction in program management and administrative services.

The Office of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion oversees the EEO complaint process if an individual feels discriminated against because of race, religion, color, national origin, age (older than 40), physical or mental disability, or sex as well as individuals who feel that they have been retaliated against for opposing employment discrimination, filing a complaint of discrimination, or participating in the EEO complaint process.

OFACP’s mission is to develop policy and to provide guidance and resources to the public, advisory committee members, the Congress, the President, and those managing Federal advisory committees at the NIH, HHS, and other Federal agencies. As a leader in the advisory committee management community of the Federal Government, OFACP is committed to supporting the NIH mission by managing and promoting the highest quality administration of the laws, regulations, and policies governing Federal advisory committees.
